What is BBA?
BBA stands for Bachelor of Business Administration. It is a general management education course. Students who have passed 12th standard are eligible to pursue this professional course. If you are interested in pursuing a management course right after 12th, BBA will suit you!
It is a Bachelor’s Degree course that focuses on management and administration studies. It is an undergraduate level course.
Generally, the course doesn’t focus on any specific discipline or sub-field within the field of management. It covers all the basic elements of management education. That’s why it is labelled as a general management course.
It teaches them various aspects that are necessary for effective business management. The course is designed in a way to train students effectively in management education and communication skills which further inculcates entrepreneurship skills. It also gives you a platform for pursuing courses like MBA. To do well in this field, students must possess leadership qualities, decisional making skills, good oral and written communication skills.

3 years. The program consists of 3 academic years. Each academic year is divided into 2 semesters. Each semester lasts for a period of 6 months.
10+2 passed (any stream- science, commerce or arts) from a recognized board (or equivalent) is the minimum educational qualification required. Minimum aggregate marks criteria, if exists, could be anywhere between 45-55% aggregate marks.
There exists two main types of BBA colleges in India – Government colleges and private colleges. Govt BBA colleges are operated by relevant body/wing of the State or Central Government. Private BBA colleges are also known as self-financing colleges. These colleges are operated by private charitable or educational trusts.
In case of Govt colleges, all the expense (such as salary of teaching staff, bills, maintenance cost etc) is borne by the Government. And the Government won’t pass on these expenses to its students! Yes, these colleges provide subsidized education to its students! On the other hand, private colleges are known to charge relatively higher tuition

Eligibility for BBA Course
Interested aspirants for the course need to fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria.
- Completion of HSC (10+2 level) from a recognized educational board
- English as one of the subjects at HSC
- Minimum aggregate score of 50% to 60% at 10+2 level of education
